Customer Spotlight Q&A with Adam Tatro

In this week's Customer Spotlight Q&A, we interviewed Adam Tatro who was an imPowr user while in his role of Director of Information Technology at Villa of Hope. While Adam is no longer at Villa of Hope, we were excited to talk to him about his experience with the imPowr platform and Continual Care Solutions.

1. What was your role at Villa of Hope and what is your current role?

I was the Director of Information Technology at the Villa of Hope. My current role is the Associate Director of Quality for the Western Region at Rochester Regional Health.

2. How did you use the imPowr platform in your job role?

We used the imPowr platform to augment and streamline several of our processes. We had different processes that utilized different platforms. This caused our users to learn and navigate multiple different systems. With imPowr, we were able to consolidate these processes into the platform. This increased our user’s experience and satisfaction.

In addition, we had some processes that were being done manually. There were processes there were still being completed on paper, spreadsheets, and other conventional methods. This created challenges with analytics, efficiency, and auditing. We were able to transition these processes into imPowr allowing for increased efficiency through automation and the collection of standardized discrete data to support analytics and auditing.

4. What was your favorite part about working with Continual Care Solutions?

My favorite part of working with Continual Care Solutions was the energy, enthusiasm, passion, and knowledge that the Continual Care Solutions team brought. It was a joy to share ideas, collectively problem solve and explore new possibilities for the platform. I felt like I had a true partner with the Continual Care Solutions team that I could rely upon to assist me with any needs that we had. I looked forward to my meetings with Continual Care Solutions.

5. What aspect of your role did you enjoy the most?

As Director of Information Technology, there were several aspects of my job that I enjoyed. While it would be difficult to name only one, one aspect of my job that I enjoyed was enabling the Villa’s users to grow through technology. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Villa’s users to improve their technological environment, to make their work lives more efficient, effective, and more satisfying. In today’s work environment, technology is such a critical component to have inefficient, unreliable, poorly designed technology can have a significant impact on a user’s productivity and their work satisfaction. Introducing better technology and optimizing current technology enabled to improve the working environment for the Villa’s users.

6. What makes Villa of Hope special?

There are so many things that make the Villa of Hope special. One of the most defining characteristics of the Villa are the people that work there. Using the Sanctuary Model to shape the culture, the Villa has an open, collaborative, caring environment that enables their employees to foster partnerships and bonds that I have not experienced in other work environments.

Furthermore, the Villa is always looking to improve and grow upon itself. Whether this growth is through programing, diversity or cultural awareness, supporting their employees or their vision for the future, the Villa is constantly looking to improve. This creates many unique and rewarding opportunities that allow staff at all levels to grow and develop along with the agency.

8. Before working at Villa of Hope, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Before working at the Villa of Hope, the most unusual job I ever had was teaching gymnastics to kids 5 to 7 years old.

9. If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

If I could have another job for one day, I would love to be a professional singer. I have always dreamt of being able to sing professionally but unfortunately my talents lie elsewhere.

12. What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy participating in adventure races, such as Spartan races. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family.

14. Where is your favorite place to eat?

There are several places that I enjoy eating at, however, I would have to say that jojo Bistro & Wine Bar in Pittsford is one of my favorites.

15. What is one of your favorite quotes?

“Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right” – Henry Ford
